Michael has more than 15 years of experience in the public, nonprofit, and small business field, helping organizations design and implement large-scale programs and projects, evaluate program impacts, and manage sustainability efforts through securing additional funds and resources. He has written and produced successful proposals yielding over $25 million in grants and contracts from government agencies and private foundations. Michael has a Master’s in Public Administration with a concentration in Nonprofit and Public Management and a Certificate in Nonprofit Management. He enjoys talking to nonprofit leadership and small business owners about new project ideas and strategies to reach their funding goals.

Elizabeth foushee, MPA, CRA, CPRA

senior consultant

Betsy has more than 20 years of experience in proposal preparation, negotiation, and administration, with the last 16 working in higher education. She has special expertise in budget development. Betsy has content expertise in career and technical education, including STEM and apprenticeships, as well as writing and proposal preparation in a broad range of disciplines. She has prepared and submitted successful proposals to federal agencies including the Departments of Defense, Education, Labor, Transportation, the National Science Foundation, the National Institutes of Health, and the National Endowment for the Humanities, as well as to many state agencies and private foundations. Betsy has an MPA from Old Dominion University, and is a Certified Research Administrator and Certified Pre-award Administrator. Her personal research interest is currently the WPA Arts Project and its effect on American art in the 20th century and beyond.
